Programmes at Cinemateket / Norsk Filminstitutt (Oslo)

Jan Troell: Dom över död man / The Last Sentence (SE 2012). " / "From 1917 to 1945, Torgny Segerstedt was editor-in-chief of Gothenburg's Handels- och Sjöfartstidning (GHT). He challenged the leaders of the Third Reich with his controversial views. Some articles were read out on British radio the same day they were published, and in Norway he was regarded as a hero. The Swedish king and the government became worried about the consequences. Sweden was neutral and they wanted to keep the country out of the war at all costs. But with the pen as his only weapon, Segerstedt took up the battle. His love life was tumultuous. He is in constant conflict with himself, and involved with three different women at the same time. In the end, he is forced to accept the consequences of his actions both politically and privately" (Svensk Filmdatabas)
