| Teuvo Tulio: Mustasukkaisuus [Jealousy] (FI 1953) starring Regina Linnanheimo. The rare telecast on 17 April 1976 on MTV2 was my first opportunity to see it. The telepremiere had been on 31 Oct 1962 at TES, but then we had no tv and I would not have understood anyway the tale of blindness and jealousy leading to madness. Tulio, "the wild bird of Finnish cinema", shot it with unbridled abandon. Many Finnish films (mostly produced by SF Suomen Filmiteollisuus) were on tv. Tulio always stood out. |
