Viewed at Cinema Orion, Helsinki, 29 Sep 2009. - From this masterpiece I revisited just the "Quand l'amour meurt" sequence with Marlene clad in top hat kissing a woman. - Brilliant restoration by UCLA with great scale of black and white, but there is probably difficulty in the source material, with a loss of detail and finesse, as the rightholders burned the original elements reportedly in the 1950s.
