Jacques Tourneur: I Walked with a Zombie (US 1943). Christine Gordon (Jessica Holland) and Frances Dee (Betsy Connell). My introduction to Val Lewton and Jacques Tourneur in November 1978: Cat People, I Walked with a Zombie, The Leopard Man and Out of the Past. Thanks to Peter von Bagh and Eeva Kurki I managed to fit the screenings to one unforgettable weekend. At the time in Europe, most of those films were only available on 16 mm at Filmbank.
