The SFI print with Swedish subtitles screened with electronic subtitles in Finnish and English viewed at the Tent (Sodankylä, Midnight Sun Film Festival), 18 June 2011. Presented by Peter von Bagh.

Silva Sound Creators = ex-Prima Vista = Günter Buchwald (violin, piano), Frank Bockius (perc), Romano Todesco (double bass).

I commented on the movie last year after our screening in Cinema Orion (Mutter Krausens Fahrt ins Glück). Now there was a chance to experience it with the music performance that was premiered last year in Pordenone. The score is not based on Paul Dessau's original but is newly composed by Günter Buchwald with quotes from Hanns Eisler ("Die Einheitsfront"), "Ich hab das Fräulein Helen baden sehen" (Raymond Fred, Fritz Grünbaum), and "Die Internationale". Both choirs of Sodankylä joined forces to a sung performance of it, and the audience joined them.
