The first public screening of a new Finnish feature movie made by new talent. They, too, just made the movie without going through the usual long official obstacle course.

The film-makers cry out loud, and their voice is fresh and original. It is about three young women coming to terms with devastating crises, and a tongue-tied janitor. There is a powerful psychic charge in the movie. Everything is at least off balance, and sometimes helter skelter.

Ovia ja lukkoja is an experimental film with an original sense of sound and image. The talented artists will be worth following. Visual quality: heavy digital video look.
